Hospitals Adopt Voir Bougie® to Enhance Airway Management Safety

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, May 13, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Two of Sydney’s leading hospitals — Nepean Hospital and Concord Hospital — have officially adopted the Voir Bougie^®, a breakthrough in tracheal intubation safety, into their clinical protocols.

Voir Bougie^® is the only tracheal introducer with highly visible color-coded depth markers, designed to improve intubation accuracy while reducing the risk of serious complications such as pneumothorax, bleeding, or pneumomediastinum.

Bougies have been consistently shown to improve intubation first pass success rates especially in difficult airway patients. However, the exact depth of insertion is not easy to determine with currently used ‘unmarked or non-colored’ plain bougies which can make their use potentially dangerous.
