Georgia Tech built a 14-point first-half lead, but top-seeded and No. 1-ranked Duke rallied to defeat the Yellow Jackets 78-70 in Thursday's ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament quarterfinals.The loss ended Georgia Tech's run in the tournament, but the Yellow Jackets (17-16) have won nine of their last 14 games and remain in contention for their first postseason berth since 2021. They will learn their postseason fate on Sunday.Georgia Tech came out strong, shooting 47.6% in the first half while holding Duke to just 26.1%. A tip-in by Baye Ndongo gave the Jackets a 26-12 lead with 5:02 remaining in the first. Tech led 31-26 at halftime.However, Duke (29-3) responded with a 12-0 run to start the second half, taking a 38-31 lead. The Blue Devils stretched their advantage to as much as 11 points before Georgia Tech cut the deficit to six in the final minute. Despite their fight, the Jackets couldn’t complete the comeback.Duncan Powell led Georgia Tech with 24 points, while Ndongo added 15 and Lance Terry contributed 12.
