OHIO community invited to retirement celebration for Jill Bean

After nearly three decades of service to Ohio University students and their families, Jill Bean will retire from Undergraduate Admissions on March 31, 2025.
All members of the OHIO community are invited to a retirement celebration for Bean on Friday, March 28.
Since Bean began her OHIO career in Undergraduate Admissions in 1996, she has demonstrated her dedication in countless ways, cultivating a successful records management team and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of applications for decades of prospective Bobcats. Through the years, Bean’s diligence and rigor have been key to supporting the successful modernization of many admissions operations, such as incorporating a new student information system into the process.
Bean’s commitment to providing outstanding customer service to students, their families, and University stakeholders has embodied the University’s mission to “hold the door open to higher education.” Her deep knowledge of Undergraduate Admissions policies and procedures has made her a treasured resource to her colleagues, and her ability to solve problems for students is beyond compare.
As Bean embarks on this new chapter in her life, she looks forward to spending more time with her grandchildren and all the members of her family and helping her husband on their farm.
To celebrate Bean’s many accomplishments and wish her well in her retirement, Undergraduate Admissions invites the University community to a drop-in on Friday, March 28, from 2-4 p.m. in the Baker University Center 1804 Lounge.
