A mother named shared a surprising story on TikTok about how her husband cunningly convinced her to name their daughter after "the greatest Formula 1 driver" without her knowledge.
Choosing a baby's name can be a contentious issue for many couples.
Some parents seek unique names, while others prefer to honor someone significant in their lives with their child's name.
Jules revealed on TikTok that her husband had "tricked" her into naming their daughter after a famous F1 driver, but he didn't reveal the source of the name at first.
She said: "Sometimes I think about the fact that my F1 obsessed husband convinced me to name our daughter after the greatest F1 driver without telling me where the name came from."
In her video's comment section, Jules said they named their daughter Senna, in homage to Ayrton Senna da Silva, the legendary Brazilian race car driver and Formula 1 champion who raced from 1984 until his untimely death in 1994.
Senna's illustrious Formula 1 career saw him drive for teams such as Toleman, Lotus, and McLaren, where he spent most of his time, before moving to Williams-Mercedes in 1994.
Tragically, during his third race with Williams at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, Senna was involved in a fatal accident, marking the second death at that year's event.
Despite being unaware of her daughter's name's origin, she mentioned she holds no grudge against her husband for not telling her about the namesake.
She said in the post: "I really thought her name was beautiful anyway, so I'm happy that at least she has a cool namesake. We love formula one."
Not everyone embraced the name choice, with dissenting voices popping up in the comment section.
One person said: "Unfortunately due to working in healthcare I could never name my child senna lol," referring to the laxative tablet brand of the same name.

Users suggested other notable drivers as inspired names for children, such as Nicholas Latifi, Max Verstappen, Lance Stroll and Lewis Hamilton.
Several fans said Senna was a great name, revealing they too had chosen driver-inspired names for their children
Sharing their personal experience, one said: "My daughter is 28 and her name is Miclaryn [sic]. She gets lots of compliments when she explains it."
Another commenter disclosed: "Been an F1 fan since '91 when I met my husband. Our oldest son's middle name is Mansell after Nigel Mansell. If we had ever had a girl, her name would have been Senna."
A third simply said: "SENNA? ! ! HELL YEAH."
