State troopers arrest a husband and wife in connection to sexual assault of a child
Two people have been arrested following an investigation of the sexual assault of a child, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.
The investigation started in April when troopers received a report of the sexual assault of a child in Jefferson County.
Troopers said they arrested 40-year-old Brandon Myers of Fairbury for third-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault of a child, and child abuse.
Since Myers is an employee of the Jefferson County Jail he was taken to Thayer County.
Myers' wife, 44-year-old Bobbi Myers, was arrested for child abuse and failure to report child abuse.
She was taken to Jefferson County Jail.
